COMPANION ANIMAL PROJECT

The City of Charles Sturt has a fantastic volunteer program called the Companion Animal Project. The program matches volunteers with dog owners over the age of 65 who need assistance to walk their dog. This service is provided free of charge, and a volunteer will visit the dog owner’s home at least once a week and will take their dog for a walk up to 1 hour, around their local area. The benefits include improving the dog’s quality of life, keeping them healthy and maintaining a caring relationship with the owner. For all enquiries, please call the project’s co-ordinator at The City of Charles Sturt on 8408 1111.
