Australia’s largest independently run fundraiser for the Cancer Council is the “Shitbox Rally”, held annually in Autumn. The rally is not a race, it is a challenge to drive cars worth $1,500 or less across Australia, via some of the toughest unsealed roads to raise money for cancer research. The pilgrimage departs Adelaide and heads north to Uluru, next towards the Gibson Desert, then South-West on more unsealed roads to test the cars and drivers, to the final destination. Perth.
